Hey Everyone,
A message from Priscilla!
Hi Krista
I am finally up to spend some time at the computer.....I've so weak, its crazy! I asked to be discharged on the 25th of Jan, I could not take being in the hospital that long, the fever had passed and I just had bad gastric pains. However, the Dr insists that I come back for a CT scan on tuesday to rule out any other causes for the inflammed bowels and intestines. They did find out that I had severe food poisoning due the bacteria Samonella. I dont have appetite to eat anything, and get really tired real fast. The Drs here think I have gotten too used to the Vancouver climate and food that my body reacts badly to humidity!! How crazy!
This freaked me out since my eventual posting for my job will be Florida. Strangely, when I arrived from the hospital, I got an email saying they require me to stay in Pennslyvania for the full 18 mths and wanted to know if it would work for me!! I dont know why these things r happening but, I am too tired to think it through, so I am just leaving it to God.
I am sure I am gonna get better, i still have the Faith and have rescheduled my trip to Vancouver for the 18th of Feb, I can only stay till the 22nd, I leave on the 23rd early in the morning for Washington DC.
I am dying to see you guys....the pictures were awesome, its good to see Maria smiling. I dont have Maria or Laurens emails, but I am sure u can forward the message to them, oh ya, please send my love to all and my apologies for the lack of communication esp with Preston n Tara.

Friday Night
Hey Friends,
If you have no plans for this coming Friday night...do you want to come and watch the TWU vs SFU men's basketball game at TWU (in Langley)? The game starts at 8pm...not sure how much admission costs, but it's under $10! We can carpool, so let me know if you want to come!

Tomorrow's Study
This week's study will be based on Paul's teachings found in 2 Corinthians 12 & 13. So please read ahead if you have time!
The following are the introductions found in the study book for both chapters:
2 Corinthians 12:1-21
"Unintentionally a German philosopher captured the genius of Paul's spirituality with these arresting words: "My burden carries me." Normally we think about the difficulty of carrying our burdens. But in reality our burdens carry us to Christ by convincing us that we are not self-sufficient. They are spiritual assets, not liabilities. "When I am weak, then I am strong" is Paul's final distinction between super-spirituality and the real thing."
2 Corinthians 13:1-14
"Imagine life without a final examination. At first it strikes us as a wonderful vacation, like school without tests and report cards. But without accountability life quickly loses its meaning. The whole Bible looks towards the final Day with vibrant hope. Those genuinely in Christ have nothing to fear and everything to anticipate. But what of those who are not sure, or who like the Corinthians might have false confidence about the outcome of the final exam? Paul deals with this matter in his final passionate plea."

Guyz Night!

So the next guys night is February 3rd (a saturday). I'm thinking Charlie Hamilton's pub which is right near coquitlam center (where death by chocolate used to be). The only thing is, it's a tad small, so if someone could go early and score us some seats, well that would just be keen. Otherwise, say 7:30pm? (I won't be there until 8ish on account of saturday evening church)

Mexico Missions Trip 2007

I would like it if everyone who contributes to this blog had a profile (for FUN!!!). So when you go to post something, I think you need to create an account, at which point you will be given the option to create a profile. If and when you do this, if you could copy the URL (address) of your profile and send it to me, I will add your name to the list! If anyone tries this and it doesn't work, or you can't figure it out, please let me know b/c I'm not really sure how it works.
